Hebden Bridge Town Hall enjoys a prominent riverside setting in the heart of the town centre. The main entrance is on St George's Street, in addition there is a rear entrance onto Hangingroyd Lane. Hebden Bridge Town Hall
The original Victorian building is Grade II Listed and dates from 1897. In 2008, a major venture was undertaken to extend and improve the venue, creating a state-of-the-art centre for community and creative enterprise. The new Town Hall opened in 2012 and is now the beating heart of the town's civic life. Run by the Hebden Bridge Community Association, a charitable organisation and development trust, the Town Hall is self funded, with no grant aids, and is supported by a team of 600+ Friends of the Town Hall.
There are 35 business units, varying in size from approx 7.6 sq mtrs to 23.8 sq mtrs. Each private unit is inclusive of lighting and heating and has free use of the communal facilities. The units are all individual and vary in character, some form part of the original character building whilst the majority of units form part of the new extension. The building spans three floors and is serviced by lifts with disabled access. Monthly rents are determined per unit size and start from as little as £188.62 including Vat.
Business tenants have 24 hour access to the Town Hall and their private unit. Volunteer staff welcome visitors in the ground floor main reception and a caretaker is on site until 9pm, 4 days per week. Stairs and lifts lead to the first and second floor business areas, with toilets to each floor, adjacent to the lifts. There is also a shower for exclusive use of business tenants. Each floor has a brew station; a small kitchenette with a sink, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
A first floor balcony terrace, exclusively for the use of business tenants, is accessed from the first floor lobby.
Meeting Rooms & Business Huddle
Business tenants have free use of the huddle, a small informal meeting room, subject to booking. Private meeting and conference rooms are also bookable at, special discounted rates.
The Waterfront Hall
The Waterfront Hall is a multi-purpose venue with riverside views and direct access into the courtyard. The Hall has reliable superfast wi-fi , a built in conference-ready projector and sound system. Special hire rates are available for business tenants.
The light and bright Town Hall Cafe is popular with locals, tourists, visitors and business tenants. The Cafe offers a stylish contemporary setting and is fully licensed, serving breakfasts, snacks, lunches and afternoon teas. Customers have free Wifi access and business tenants can benefit from discounted prices.
Adjoining the Cafe is a spacious paved courtyard, a real sun trap with a lovely riverside setting.
Licence To Occupy
The business units are Let by means of a Licence To Occupy with the Licensor (Hebden Bridge Community Association) responsible for the provision of electricity, heating and basic office waste disposal. Hebden Bridge Town Hall provide all networking infrastructure in the building. Free public wifi is available in addition tenants have a choice of professional IT and telephony packages, available at additional costs.
